Exhibitors at this week’s hosiery machinery events in Brescia, Northern Italy seem satisfied so far with both the number and the quality of visitors. Brescia is host to a total of four events this week - FIMAST (International Textile Machinery and Accessories Trade Show), Santoni’s Open House, Lonati’s Open House and sock machine manufacturer Rumi’s private show all of which opened yesterday and close Saturday lunchtime.

Oerlikon Saurer’s Allma Product Line will be showing at this year’s CINTE 2012, Asia's top biannual trade fair for technical textiles and nonwovens, which takes place from 22 to 24 October in Shanghai. A new advanced Thies yarn dyeing installation in the UK went from the drawing board to full production in just six months. The first dedicated yarn dyeing plant to be installed in the UK for many years is now fully operational at Park Valley Dyers in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire; featuring a complete Thies dyeing installation.

The 20th session of Spinexpo is said to have ended in a positive climate of global satisfaction just before an enormous storm which turned the exhibition hall into multiple waterfalls. “We can only thank the Gods for planning this storm right after the closing time, escaping from a real flood during the show,” organisers exclaimed at the close of the show.

Fabrics for Autumn/Winter 2013/14 contrasted opulent surfaces and handles with compact density and functional technicity at the September 2012 edition of Première Vision Pluriel in Paris.
Visitor traffic was strong over the first two days of the fair, according to Phillipe Pasquet, CEO and editor-in-chief of Première Vision, calling the opening day “historic, ahead of expectations.” Exhibitors were also pleased with attendance at the fair; Bel Maille’s Stéphane Ziegler commented, “Traffic has been very good with our current customers. We were very happy to see several new customers, including more Americans.”
