New Bill Smith column on Innovation in Textiles

As Innovation in Textiles continues to grow (we are now read in 195 countries), we have introduced a number of new correspondents who write regular columns and articles on a variety of subjects from different parts of the world. The aim is to give you the reader a clearer perspective of the global and widely varied technical textiles industry.So, while we are on the subject of perspective we would like to introduce a new regular column by US based technical textiles veteran Bill Smith – called (yes you guessed it) ‘Perspective by Bill Smith’.

William C. (Bill) Smith founded Industrial Textile Associates, a consulting firm dedicated to assisting clients in the field of technical textiles, enter and/or expand their efforts and profile in the field in 1986.Bill has over 47 years experience in technical textiles - his expertise includes sales, product and market development, product and marketing management, technical writing and editing, all related to technical textiles.

Bill is also known in the industry as the organizer and director of numerous professional development conferences in the USA and Europe related to technical textiles.
