Stamford, CT – Hexcel today announced that it has received a 2008 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the awards annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Hexcel maintained a Silver performance composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct 1, 2007 to Sept 30, 2008. This is the second successive year that Hexcel has qualified for the Silver Boeing Performance Excellence award.
This year, Hexcel was one of 411 organizations out of approximately 10,000 Boeing worldwide suppliers to receive a silver or gold level performance award. Mike Canario, Hexcel VP Sales & Marketing for the Americas said:”Last year we were delighted to hear that we had qualified for the Boeing Performance Excellence Award. It is a major achievement to be recognized for a second successive year and a credit to the commitment of our employees and our world class composites manufacturing capabilities. Hexcel supplies a range of composite materials to Boeing including glass and carbon fibre reinforcements, prepregs, honeycomb and engineered core for a number of programs.
